The UMass Journalism Diversity Club (new name pending) met for the first time on Wednesday, March 4, in the Journalism Hub.

Approximately 15 students attended and shared ideas for the direction of the department in regards to inclusion and new resources for students. Current plans involve increasing scholarship opportunities for students, connecting with more local high schools, joining on-campus and national organizations, and inviting guest speakers to campus.
